Traditionally, the houseboats been called Kettuvallam, which means a boat made by tying together pieces of wood. Unbelievable as it may sound, not a single nail is used in the making of a Kettuvallam. Jack wood planks are joined together with coir rope and then coated with black resin made from boiled cashew nut shells. A Kettuvallam usually has one or two bath attached rooms, an open lounge, deck, kitchen and a crew comprising two oarsmen and a cook. Traditional lanterns are used as lights. Day 01: Delhi - Kumarakom
On arrival at Delhi airport / Railway station, you will be met by our representative and will transferred to the Hotel. Kumarakom (by train). On arrival at Kumarakom visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary (famous for migratory and local birds) and later check in at hotel, Kumarakom is famous for endless view of calm clean backwater of Kerala with canals, paddy fields and fishing villages and houseboats. Evening enjoy Sunset cruise (optional) or enjoy the beauty of backwater by just relaxing near kerala backwater.

Day 02: Houseboat
Breakfast in the hotel an morning is at leisure, breath the pollution free fresh by listening the songs of local birds, at 1130 hrs transfer to houseboat, check in at houseboat at 1230 hrs. Houseboat cruise is the best way to explore the beauty of backwaters rest of the day at leisure on the House Boat. Sit back and relax while the boat cruises through the narrow serene backwater canals. Lunch, Evening Tea/Coffee with snacks, dinner and enjoy your evening on the sundeck away from polluted cities and maddening crowd. Day 03: Departure
Morning at leisure on House Boat experience the pollution free air and after a good breakfast at 0900 Hrs check out from houseboat and we transfer you to the airport / railway station of Cochin.
